The OFII in Limoges commits itself with local enterprises towards interculturality and employment

As part of its missions, the OFII’s Territorial Directorate in Limoges commits through several schemes for the placement of the beneficiaries of international protection (BIP) in enterprises.

With “Sport terrain d’inclusion”, a scheme co-created by the OFII with the training organisation New Skills, more than 20 BPI have already been able to benefit from a permanent contract since November 2021, with a vocational training provided by the enterprise.

The OFII’s expertise in integration at the service of enterprises

In line with this initiative, the OFII Territorial Directorate in Limoges and its partners, ADECCO and New Skills, have undertaken an action to raise awareness on migrants’ integration issues, with several information sessions in the enterprises.

The objective of these sessions is to raise awareness of interculturality and its management within the enterprise, in order to strengthen the employment of the BIP, and to meet as much as possible the needs for employment of local enterprises.

A constructive collaboration between the OFII and the enterprises for local employment

On Friday 14 January, 2022 in Ussel, in the Corrèze department, around ten representatives of enterprises experiencing recruitment difficulties, including Constellium, Le mont de La Coste, Adecco, Multipakaging, Polyrey, Alsapan, attended a new session.

During this work meeting, Krystel Le Lay Caroff, Territorial Director of the OFII in Limoges exchanged with participants on enterprise culture, team management, cohesion and the effective inclusion of migrants. The Territorial Director of the OFII in Limoges also detailed the missions of the OFII, the mechanisms for the support of the BIP and for the follow-up of partner companies.

During these exchanges, each enterprise had the opportunity to evoke its recruitment needs, an important element in order to adapt the “Sport terrain d’inclusion” scheme and provide the best possible support for BIPs during their placement in the Limousin region.

At the end of this meeting for the Ussellois employment area alone: 23 permanent contracts have been signed and 23 BIP are currently being identified near the OFII Territorial directorate in Limoges. The enterprises have committed themselves to carrying out training leading to qualifications and/or diplomas, in alternating courses, on site, after a passage through the “Sport terrain d’inclusion” scheme in preparation.

These positive results of the OFII Territorial Directorate in Limoges illustrate the quality work carried out by the OFII for the professional integration and the employment of migrants in the various territories.
