The new premises of OFII Senegal inaugurated
The new premises of OFII in Senegal were inaugurated on 8 July 2021, by Mr. Didier LESCHI, director general of the establishment and Mr. Philippe LALLIOT, Ambassador of France in Senegal, in the presence of the main French and Senegalese partners of the OFII in Senegal. A moment of friendship during which Mr. Didier LESCHI reminded the missions of OFII. The Ambassador of France welcomed the rapprochement of OFII and the important role that it plays in the Franco-Senegalese cooperation through its micro-development activities.
The 4th funding committee for OFII reintegration projects for 2021, which was held on the same day of the inauguration, also illustrated the dynamics of the Franco-Senegalese partnership around the support of the returning migrants.
This committee showed the characteristics and specificities of the OFII program in Senegal. It gathered around the French Ambassador and Mr. Didier LESCHI, 18 French and Senegalese partners and validated 5 files presenting the standard profiles of returning migrants representative of the public supported by the OFII. The Ambassador, Mr. Amadou François GAYE in his capacity as Director General of Support for Senegalese Abroad (DGASE) and co-president of the session, declared that “these projects carried out by wonderful people could change lives”.
