Signing of the OFII – Adie partnership

Together, support the entrepreneurial dynamism of CIR signatories

On September 26, 2024, Didier Leschi, Director General of the French Office for Immigration and Integration (OFII), and Frédéric Lavenir, President of ADIE, signed a partnership agreement aimed at supporting the financing of entrepreneurial projects by the signatories of the Republican Integration Contract (CIR).

Entrepreneurship represents an option for immigrants facing socio-economic challenges, but it is fraught with obstacles. Indeed, insolvency and difficulties in accessing credit are among the main obstacles encountered by these entrepreneurs.

Since its creation in 1989, ADIE has been financing micro-entrepreneurs who do not have access to bank credit and supporting them in the process of creating their business to ensure their projects’ viability. Microcredits, as an alternative to the traditional banking system, are particularly favored by foreign entrepreneurs, who represent 25% of ADIE’s clients.

This new partnership between OFII and ADIE is expected to foster the sharing of expertise between the two institutions and direct foreigners interested in business creation towards the support services offered by ADIE in the regions where it is present.
