Apply for family reunification online

You can now submit your application for family reunification directly on the Portal for Foreigners in France.

It should be noted that it is still possible to submit your application by postal mail, particularly for people who have difficulty using the Internet. In this case, you will need to download the CERFA document available on the OFII website. On the other hand, there is no need to submit your application twice, by postal mail and on line, as this would complicate and lenghten its processing.

The online version has been designed to simplify the application process, and to provide information on the composition of the file and on the follow-up of the procedure. It was designed jointly by users and OFII staff.

So what does the Portal for foreign nationals in France actually offer? Here are its 4 main features:

You can create your account directly online, using your foreign national number.

– You can submit your application online in a simplified way: we’ll only ask you the questions that concern you, and we’ll only ask you for the documents that are relevant to your application. Here’s an example of what the first tab, “Your identity”, looks like.

You’ll have access to help as you go. Help bubbles will let you know where to find the information or documents you need.

Once your application is complete, you can send it to OFII, by clicking on “Send my application” at the last stage. You can then follow the status of your application from your dashboard.
