3rd Edition of the Mobility and Diaspora Forum in Senegal
The OFII representation in Senegal is organizing the 3rd edition of the Mobility and Diaspora Forum at the French Institute of Senegal in Dakar
On March 26, 2024, in collaboration with its Senegalese, French, and European partners, the OFII representation in Senegal is organizing the 3rd edition of the Mobility and Diaspora Forum.
This event’s main objective is to enhance the visibility of projects by Senegalese nationals returning and strengthen institutional and associative partnerships for sustainable reintegration in Senegal.
The program of this 3rd edition, which will have the particularity of being organized by and for project leaders, will focus on:
– Challenges of sustainable reintegration, such as the psychosocial aspect, consideration of the returning migrant’s family and social context, access to financing, and mentoring among migrants.
– Highlighting viable and sustainable project models through the fair and presentations by promoters.
– Promoting circular migration by showcasing successful experiences of the OFII and its partners.
– Assisting the return and reintegration of Senegalese students in France, in collaboration with France Alumni Senegal.
The number of promoters participating in the Forum is increasing each year.
All services (photography, videos, production of goodies, catering, etc.) will be provided by returning migrant entrepreneurs in Senegal, accompanied by the OFII.
Finally, roundtable discussions on mobility and return topics, as well as practical workshops in the form of master classes, will be organized on various themes such as promising sectors in Senegal, agroecology, and financing opportunities.
